A native of Carteret County, Karen holds an associate’s degree in medical office administration. Her career began in 1999 at Carteret General Hospital creating a foundation in healthcare administration. Over the years she has worked in several medical practices, but her niche was in Obstetrics and Gynecology, serving for many years as the Billing and Collections Coordinator for the county’s largest Ob-Gyn practice. In that role Karen built lasting professional relationships and deep community ties that have spanned more than two decades.
After stepping away from healthcare to focus on raising her daughter, Karen transitioned into real estate administration. Over the next 12 years she excelled in agent services and discovered a talent for both print and digital marketing. In 2023 she was proudly nominated by her peers as a “Mover and Shaker and Beacon of Light” in the community- a testament to her dedication and vibrant spirit.
Outside of work Karen enjoys gardening, boating, and spending time with her husband and daughter. Karen brings a wealth of administrative knowledge, community connection and a genuine passion for service to our team.
