Paula Adkins has more than 22 years of experience exclusively in the area of state criminal defense in Craven County. Her experience ranges from assisting in handling minor traffic infractions to high class felonies. Prior to becoming a Legal Assistant, she completed Basic Law Enforcement Training and served as a correctional officer for the North Carolina Department of Corrections. Paula also served as an eligibility specialist for the Department of Social Services for over 13 years. Paula’s range of practical experience in the North Carolina criminal justice system has proven time and again to be a great asset to our clients. She is the firm’s “client advocate,” focusing particularly on clients in custody.
